Why Twitter is all about “ME”

Twitter

Twitter logo

No one doubts the popularity of Twitter. The number of its satellites sites is just a good proof of this, accompanied by all high rankings of course, for instance, number 25 in Alexa global list. With massive self marketing of millions of its members, the site is featured everywhere:

One of the satellites, foller.me is striving to provide its users with the most interesting information on Twitter members and their communities, all in one place.

For instance, try http://foller.me/google

Then trademarked tweetmeme consolidates the hot stories.

Tweet.me was recent.ly bought at a land-rush leftovers auction for impressive $11,505 and many people are curious to learn what will come out of it. With a bit less curiosity, the same holds for tweetme.me. Tweetme.com will forward you to Jonathan360's profile.

Twitter itself has tighten its legal policies and is now starting to sue few guys, so that the site "twittersa.com" had to be shut down, temporarily at least.

With all this diversity and great marketing, one can only wonder why twitter.me of Christian Riley and twit.me of Lucas Bartholemy are not resolving anywhere.

BuboMe allows its users for creating fancy and funny images of them and their friends:

It is a short and memorable name, but Fancy.Me would looks so much better.

Then uPlayMe concept is not clear yet. However, they would be much better off with Replay.Me jingle indeed.

For your consideration two online meeting sites for your event registration and management.

They have create a concise and informative introductory video worth watching.

Tungle nice.ly allows you to have fancy URLs too. For instance: http://tungle.me/john

RegisterMePro is still on the beta stage, though their marketing already looks promising.

M.E. is also known for Motor Engineer

Special thanks to Bob Petch who commented on LLL.me post:

Just to let you know that I chose .me because the website, which is under construction, is for a garage business. So - me = motor engineer. My son is the mechanic and his initials are R. V. P.

So now in addition to M.E. staying for State of Maine, Middle East, My Education, My Earth, My Egypt, etc, it is also known for Motor Engineering.

.ME keeps enjoying the highest growth among all top-level domains

Every half a year Brands-and-Jingles shares the data they gather since the inception of .ME on number of .me web pages indexed by Google.

{click on the exhibit to enlarge}

In less than a year .me became more popular than .aero, .asia, .coop, .jobs, .int, .mil, .museum, .name, .pro, .tel, .travel and other 200 country code top-level domains.

Since the beginning of the year, it kept its position of the fastest growing top-level-domain and is still rising.

For those curious, .me is just behind the following 79 TLDs:

.com, .jp, .org, .net, .de, .ru, .cn, .uk, .pl, .kr, .br, .fr, .cz, .it, .au, .tw, .ca, .edu, .nl, .us, .ro, .es, .gov, .info, .se, .ua, .no, .eu, .ch, .ee, .at, .be, .mx, .hu, .dk, .il, .lv, .fi, .tv, .pt, .sk, .ar, .tr, .vn, .lt, .th, .nz, .hk, .cc, .in, .biz, .gr, .si, .is, .hr, .za, .cl, .id, .fm, .my, .ie, .bg, .to, .ws, .cat, .nu, .ir, .mobi, .ph, .pe, .ge, .sg, .co, .rs, .by, .sa, .ve, .su, and .ae

The other 200 did not stand the competition of the young rival:

.md, .ec, .kz, .cr, .ba, .mil, .int, .name, .cx, .bo, .la, .az, .travel, .yu, .pr, .uy, .mk, .ma, .lu, .uz, .am, .tk, .tc, .sv, .ps, .pa, .pk, .kg, .mn, .st, .bz, .eg, .gt, .kw, .do, .nc, .asia, .li, .py, .cu, .ni, .me.uk, .jo, .mu, .cv, .tm, .hn, .lk, .vc, .coop, .cd, .ug, .pro, .ly, .museum, .rw, .aero, .mp, .tp, .tel, .gp, .jobs, .arpa, .so, .kp, .yt, .nato, .td, .ad, .sy, .cy, .om, .mo, .tn, .gs, .al, .sc, .im, .fo, .lb, .as, .qa, .gl, .ms, .mz, .mt, .bn, .sh, .hm, .ag, .ac, .sm, .ke, .vg, .bd, .tt, .tl, .np, .bh, .vu, .ao, .jm, .gh, .re, .sn, .io, .mv, .gd, .tj, .dz, .gg, .tz, .sr, .ng, .dj, .zw, .na, .cm, .kh, .fj, .ky, .ci, .mc, .nr, .ax, .bw, .af, .bf, .je, .nf, .gi, .gy, .bm, .ck, .mg, .bb, .pn, .ml, .et, .vi, .zm, .ai, .gm, .sd, .bs, .sb, .ls, .mm, .tg, .pf, .mr, .va, .dm, .ki, .tf, .cg, .mw, .bt, .pg, .bi, .ht, .ye, .aw, .bj, .an, .iq, .sl, .sz, .lc, .cf, .aq, .ga, .ne, .gf, .lr, .mq, .kn, .gn, .er, .km, .gu, .fk, .gq, .gw, .wf, .cs, .dd, .mh, .pw, .zr, .um, .bl, .eh, .mf, .bv, .gb, .pm, and .sj

Cyjanopan ME

"ME" tagged products can surprisingly appear in any part of the world.

A Polish glue by Chemistik System branded "Cyjanopan ME":

Any Polish experts here to tell what is the true meaning of the name?

Try Me 3 – Tiny Love

As was posted earlier, "try me" is used all over Britain, Sainsbury's, Boots, you name them. In fact, the whole world.

As found in MotherCare, a TinyLove product screaming to try it:

Yes, dot.com address is visible, but "me" slogan is the trigger.

Domain wise, nothing has changed until now, "try.me" is still held by the registry, waiting for its big day and big buyer too. For the moment one can enjoy:
