400,000 milestone

Just two years after the world first heard of Montenegro’s top-level domain, .ME, more than 400,000 .ME domains have been registered. Several by some of the biggest names on the Internet -- including Facebook, Yahoo, WordPress, Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment.

After “Join.ME” was sold for 45 000 USD in May, another premium dotME domain name was snatched at the aftermarket – “Equip.ME” was sold at SEDO for 15 000 USD. With this sale dotME domains made it to the top 4 of SEDO’s ccTLDs sales proving once again the existence of huge market demand for ccTLDs.
