GGL.me at al
Most of us are driving machines with two big engines: Google and Microsoft. And yet, these motors constant.ly fight with each other. One can only wonder how the cars still remain on the road. Another week and yet another fight:
After months of speculation and then a failed merger, Microsoft and Yahoo! announced an agreement to integrate their Internet searching and advertising businesses. Under the deal, Microsoft will incorporate Yahoo!’s search technologies into its existing web-search platforms while its Bing search engine will operate on Yahoo!’s websites. Microsoft will enter a revenue-sharing partnership with Yahoo!. Between them, the two account for 28% of Internet searches in America, compared with Google’s 65%.

Let us leave the market share aside for the moment and compare Google's and Bing's penetration:
The former returns 728,000,000 results, while the latter only 1,050,000 (it was ~ 700,000 last week). Yes, Bing is catching up. But with 1000:1 - GGL sure.ly wins. Microsoft, Bing and Yahoo! have a long way to go.
So, next time, try also GGL in black: http://ggl.me/ and forget about the splashy advertising from Microsoft and Yahoo!. They are useless anyway.

Sure.ly, Google can also produce “funky” commercials: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m22f-77nK3c
It is a great phenomenon of our times: it is neither strong in marketing nor in legal matters [ http://dot-me.of-cour.se/2009/01/06/23andme/ ] and yet its best technologies combined with extreme simplicity do the trick.

Why should anybody need 728 million results? Or 1 million? I normally would like to have only a reasonable few which might help me with my research. And normally I don’t get these with Google, as the first 10-100 hits are sponsored ads (this really sucks). Bing gets me there faster, and I am sorry for Google, but you guys should really make some progress. Being the dominant market leader just doesn’t lead to better technology. And GGL.me surely is Google only in black, who needs this? Probably Googles little helper from the NSA and other well meaning US agencies…

@Heini: could you be a bit more specific and show few examples, where bing is providing better results that google?
As to my impression, Bing stuffs the page with more advertisement, that of pizza hut and yahoo, just have a look:
